Rita Botelho

We love the idea behind this money bank. Representing a drop of water, it reminds us to protect our most precious resource, and to save money. Once the time comes to use the saved money, the bank needs to be broken, further emphasizing that we should only tap into our resources when we truly have to. Rita Botelho, the Lisbon based designer behind Drop, recently finished a one year stay in Tokyo. She has exhibited in Lisbon, Edinburgh, Milan and New York, and is working as a freelancer on furniture, product, packaging and jewelry design.
