Raquel Soares graduated as an urban planner in 1998 and obtained a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the Catalan Politechnical University in Spain. She designed various landscape projects in Portugal. Her fondness for tact, simplicity and natural materials lead her to revive her early studies in the arts and, recently, she started designing "wooden jewelry" under the brand name "Baoba".
